THREE competitions are being launched to help Rossendale Museum celebrate its centenary.
One of the much-loved mascots of the museum, in Whitaker Park in Rawtenstall, is the baby elephant which has been a favourite with visitors for generations. For the special celebration children aged four to seven are invited to colour a special coat for the elephant while children aged eight to 11 are asked to design a coat for the elephant.
The closing date for entries is June 14.
A third competition has been launched for secondary schools and students are being asked to make a board game based on Rossendale Museum, its history and contents.
Entries will be exhibited from July 6 to August 4. The closing date is May 31.
