CREATIVE accountancy produced a surprise boost for Tottington High School.
Business recovery specialist Gareth Pugh from accountants Levy Gee in Manchester was left with a large quantity of pattern books and fabric swatches after the failure of a small Bury interior design business.
Gareth, who lives in Bury, decided to offer the materials to the school's art department after chatting to a fellow partner whose children are due to start there soon.
Gareth said: "We cannot always rescue every business that gets into difficulties.
"However, early indication and talking through options with specialist advisers will give you a greater chance of survival.
"We were left with a room full of interior designer's fabrics and papers."
Levy Gee is now known as Numerica following the establishment of a fully-integrated business services group last year.
