A TOP sales award has been picked up by Stephanie Haworth who works for Delta Equipment, based in Accrington.
She has been awarded the fiercely-contested title of Top Sales Person 2001 for selling more Komatsu forklift trucks than any other salesperson at any dealership in the UK.
Stephanie, who lives in Great Harwood, sold a total of 32 new forklift trucks in 2001, beating her nearest rival by just one truck.
As winner of the competition, she can choose a holiday of her choice up to the value of £2,000.
Stephanie said 2001 had been a very busy year for the whole team at Delta Equipment. "In addition to the 32 trucks, I also managed to sell a number of used models as well as signing up various new servicing and parts contracts for the company," she said. "I was brought up to believe that you can do anything if you try hard enough. I hope to be able to beat last year's figure of 32 trucks - and I'm on target with six sales already for 2002.
Stephanie is currently spending her evenings browsing through travel brochures, searching for that dream holiday. "I haven't decided where to go yet, but it is bound to be somewhere warmer than the North of England," she added.
Stephanie has worked for Delta Equipment for the past four years. She has four children, one of whom works for a manufacturing company where he drives a Komatsu forklift truck.
Delta Equipment has three branches across the North of England and specialises in the supply and service of Komatsu materials handling equipment to both small and large companies.
