FROM what we have seen recently on TV, and read in the press, the NHS can seriously damage your health.
Doctors, nurses and all hospital staff do a fantastic job. It is the Government who are at fault.The problem is target-meeting. You cannot play around like this with people's health. We are dealing with human beings not commodities.
Many patients are now being readmitted to hospital because they have been discharged too soon -- all in the name of targets -- thus making twice as much work, not to mention the cost.
It looks good on TV and in the press when we are being told targets are being met. But at what price?
