A BURY woman, aged 68, was the victim of a vicious attack in her home on Tuesday night.
She was threatened with a knife after answering a knock at her door in Rectory Lane. The offender then forced his way into the house and punched and kicked the lady while demanding money.
He then ran off when he was disturbed by neighbours. The victim suffered minor cuts and bruises.
The attacker is described as white, 5ft 8in in his mid 20s with short blonde wavy hair, of medium build and clean shaven. He was wearing a blue striped jumper a black jacket and jeans.
