A SIMPLE guide has been produced by Pendle Council to help local people plan for the Queen's Golden Jubilee.
It gives advice on events being organised for the period Saturday, June 1, to Tuesday, June 4.
The council has also set up a dedicated phone advice service on 01282 661961, open between 9am and 1pm, Monday to Friday.
The guide is being distributed to all public buildings and some town centre shops.
Applications for hosting an event, where relevant, need to be made by Friday, May 3.
The leaflet gives practical advice on street parties, events on public open spaces, your own land or private land, public entertainment and liquor licences, fireworks and bonfires, fundraising, grants and sponsorship, safety, insurance, council-organised events and where to get further information.
Philip Mousdale, the council's secretary and solicitor, said: "The leaflet aims to help people plan and organise events for the Queen's Golden Jubilee.
"The council is waiving some of its usual licence fees and will try to speed the processing of applications for any licences organisers may be required to have by law."
