A SUNDAY train service for Atherton will be discussed at a public meeting which starts at 8pm on Monday at the Blue Bell, Bolton Road, Atherton.
Wardley Public Transport Users Group is bidding for funding to introduce a Sunday service for Atherton, Hag Fold and other stations between Wigan and Manchester which currently have no Sunday service.
Organisers hope anyone who would use the service will attend at the Blue Bell which is near Atherton station.
Local train operating company First North Western has indicated that it could provide trains to run the Sunday service, but would require outside funding.
