FOLLOWING a number of speed related accidents Warrington Council wants to set a 30mph speed limit on another length of road in Culcheth.
The proposed new speed limit would be imposed for a distance of 400m on Wigshaw Lane, from its junction with Mustard Lane.
Council chiefs say the measures are necessary due to an increase of traffic and pedestrians. Analysis of road crash casualty figures for the length of the road in question, revealed a number of speed related accidents.
All objections and other representations to the proposal must be sent in writing by March 25 2002 to: H Noirris, Solicitor to the Council, Town Hall, Sankey Street, Warrington, WA1 1UH.
