WITH one eye still on a famous treble Hindsford Eagles U13 took another step nearer their target with a 5-3 win over Farnworth in the Jubilee Cup quarter final. Goals from Matthew Eckersley, Sam Smith and Danny Young gave them a 3-1 lead but they allowed Farnworth to level things up before Nick Markland and Eckersley again made the result safe.
The Sharks Under 11s continued their assault on a similar treble with a double victory at the weekend beating AFC Bolton 15-0 on Saturday and League pace setters Aspull Juniors 3-2.
It took a goal from 'super sub' Ashley Glover in the third minute of injury time to secure the points against Aspull after Daniel Babilinski's opener had been wiped out by an Aspull double in the second half. Liam Devlin equalised with two minutes remaining and every settled for the draw. Everyone that is, except Glover.
