CAN you help find the owners of a German Shephard who was so emaciated he could hardly stand when found by dog wardens?
Rinty was found by wardens in the Moston area of Manchester in February.
The un-neutered male, who was taken to Manchester Dogs' Home, is thought to be about four years old.
Rinty received urgent treatment on his arrival and is still under constant veterinary observation.
It is too early to say whether he has suffered any internal damage caused by his chronic starvation.
A spokesman said: "This dog has been the subject of cruel and callous treatment which no animal should ever suffer.
"But despite his disgraceful neglect, Rinty is a good-natured and affectionate dog. We appeal to anyone who recognises him or knows anything about his case to contact the Manchester Dogs' Home." Call (0161) 205 2874 with any information.
