A BLACKPOOL bingo player's number came up this month scooping her more than £60,000.

Lucky Lorraine Henderson was playing at the Mecca Bingo Club on Talbot Road on March 1 when she called a full house after just 41 numbers.

Lorraine, 49, halved the £100,000 National Bingo Game prize with another winner in Wales and she also won the regional prize of £10,094 and the house prize of £152 taking her total prize money to £60,246.

And the big-hearted bingo player will share her good fortune with the two friends she was playing with her on the successful night -- Gaynor Buckley from Layton and 70-year-old Violet Robinson who lives in Barnsley.

Lorraine said: "Violet visits her niece who has an hotel in Blackpool. She comes with us to bingo when she is staying here and she just dropped lucky as she was going home on Saturday."

Lorraine has three children and three grandchildren whom she will treat with the money. And she also plans to spend it on a big celebration in August this year when she will be 50 and a good holiday.

Mecca bingo manager Paul Kay said: "We at Blackpool are one of the luckiest clubs in the country for big national wins. Well done to Lorraine."

The National Bingo Game is played every night of the year except Christmas Day and £674m has been won since it began in June 1986.
