NELSON will be hoping to build on an impressive midweek victory when they travel to Bootle in the NWCL second division.

Fourth-placed Blackpool Mechanics were beaten 2-0 by John Bailey's men on Wednesday night and the manager will be looking for more of the same.

And the Blues' boss admitted that it was the way the team bounced back from the disappointing home defeat by Chadderton at the weekend that had pleased him most.

"The lads were up for it after that game, the pitch was in much better condition and so we passed the ball better," he said. "We also took our chances which we haven't been doing.

"But we know we will have a tough game at Bootle because they have been having some decent results.

"There is no need for us to change the side after a good win and we are now looking for some sort of consistency, something we have been lacking in the last couple of months.

"Wednesday's win will hopefully have given everyone a bit of a lift."
