HOW the David Moyes move saga unfolded over the last three days:
WEDNESDAY:
Midnight: Every national paper reports that Walter Smith is to be sacked and replaced by David Moyes.
9am: North End deny any bid has been made for Moyes by Everton.
10am: Everton confirm they have parted company with Smith.
noon: A fresh press release from North End confirms Everton have asked to speak with Moyes. North End say he has trained with the team as normal.
3pm: North End report that they have given permission for Moyes to talk with Everton.
7pm: Moyes believed to have gone into talks on Merseyside.
THURSDAY:
Midnight: Papers say Moyes has signed. North End apparently want £3million for the star.
lunchtime: Moyes reported to have agreed personal terms for a four year
deal.
2pm: North End report they have withdrawn their permission for Moyes to talk with Everton after compenstation talks hit a snag.
5pm: David Healy reported to have pleaded with Moyes to stay at North End
7pm: North End confirm that Moyes has moved - with North End collecting £1million upfront for their manager. Kelham O'Hanlon takes charge for this weekend's Burnley game.
7.15pm: Everton unveil Moyes as their new man.
8pm: North End say talks were professional and amicable.
