I AM extremely concerned by the possibility of a terrorist attack on Sellafield Nuclear Power Station in Cumbria. I would be interested to know if David Chaytor MP shares my concerns and, if so, what the Government is proposing to do.
Since September 11, it seems to me that a big barrier has been removed from those who are motivated by the extreme religious fervour to commit such an act and take their own lives in the process. No longer can we say with any confidence that nobody would be "daft" enough to do that! Indeed their actions may encourage others to imitate them.
What would be the cost of closing Sellafield?
I have never been a campaigner against nuclear power, or bombs. I am simply a grandfather who is deeply concerned for the welfare of future generations of children.
