A NURSERY is holding a toy sale to raise money for the Blackburn with Darwen Afghanistan Appeal.
St Barnabas Nursery, in Arthur Way, Bank Top, is staging the event on Tuesday between 11.15am and 1.15pm.
Teacher Joan Whaley said the toys had been donated by parents and all proceeds would go towards the appeal.
The fund is to help those affected by the war on terrorism and was launched last month by the Dean of Blackburn, the Rev Christopher Armstrong, Coun Salim Mulla, chairman of the Blackburn with Darwen Interfaith Council, and Mayor of Blackburn Coun John Williams.
Blackburn MP and Foreign Secretary Jack Straw has also pledged his support.
