YOUNG people using the Nightsafe Day Centre in Blackburn have been receiving tuition in artwork with such good results that their work is to form an exhibition at the Central Library.
The education and lifelong learning department for Blackburn with Darwen Council commissioned artist Alistair Nicholson to work with Nightsafe users and between them they have gained excellent results.
Coun Dorothy Walsh, lead member for lifelong learning, said: "It is always a pleasure to be involved with success stories involving young people.
"I am especially pleased to attend an exhibition that acknowledges the good work done by the council's education and lifelong learning department working together with young people who use Nightsafe.
"Some of these youngsters would not normally get this opportunity so I am sure everyone concerned is delighted with this splendid result."
