THE UK's leading youth charity has launched a pilot scheme in Lancashire to help youngsters keep their lives on track.
The Prince's Trust 'Route 14-25' has been targeted at Lancashire, and Blackburn in particular, because research revealed there was a need for a young person's support network.
The project will act as a 'one stop shop' where anyone aged between 14 and 25 can be directed into a Prince's Trust programme to suit their needs.
The scheme will keep a track on the progress of the youngsters so that their needs can be followed up.
Some of the programmes include building the confidence of Asian Muslim women, helping young Muslims learn more about starting their own businesses and encouraging people into its mentoring scheme.
The project was launched earlier this week at Ewood Stadium.
Young people who had benefited from the Prince's Trust in the past were present to talk about their experiences.
Anyone wanting more information on the scheme should call 0800 842 842.
