TEACHERS have swapped headships at two primary schools.
When the head of Rossendale's Stubbins Primary Dorothy Fair went on long-term sick, head of Burnley's Brunshaw Primary Neil Tranmer became associate head, while his deputy Tricia Braddock took over in his absence.
But now they have switched roles with Mr Tranmer returning to head Brunshaw while Miss Braddock has become the new head of Stubbins.
She said it made the hand-over of the job a lot easier as she was used to working with Mr Tramner.
Miss Braddock said: "I had been looking for a headship. This is a fabulous school as there is so much happening. My role is to build on that."
A spokesman for Lancashire County Council's Education Authority said: "It's routine for two teachers from the same school to be recruited like this.
"Miss Braddock had the necessary qualifications for the job and this is an opportunity for her to use her skills."
She was at Brunshaw for eight years and prior to that taught at Marsden School in Nelson and a school in Rochdale.
