MEMBERS of Burnley Rotary Club are preparing for their annual charity golf day in aid of Pendleside Hospice.
Organisers hope to raise as much money as possible from the event on Wednesday, May 1, which is open to teams of four. Last year's event raised £2,750.
Entry costs £135 and includes a hot meal in the evening, a drink at the eighth tee and the chance to win prizes.
Sponsored by local Ford dealers CD Bramhall, which has branches in Burnley and Blackburn, the event's proceeds will go towards the £1.2 million needed to run the hospice for a year.
Kaye Bartle, fundraising manager for the hospice in Colne Road, said: "The Rotary Club are keen supporters of the work of the hospice. We are very grateful to them for their continued help."
Teeing off times are available between 11.45am and 3.45pm and all players must provide approved club handicaps.
Scoring will be on a Stableford points system, with the best two scores on each hole counting.
Entry forms can be obtained by ringing Donald George on 01282 425652, or the fundraising office on 01282 440100.
