A TEENAGER walked away unscathed after crashing her car -- then fainted when she saw the damage to her vehicle.
The 19-year-old was driving along Whalley Road, Clitheroe, at 8.30 last night when she crashed.
She got out of the car, but when she saw what had happened, she fainted, knocking her head on the pavement.
Police were called and when they arrived asked for an ambulance crew.
A spokesman for Lancashire Ambulance said: "The injured person was taken to Blackburn Royal Infirmary.
"She was conscious and breathing at the time."
A spokesman for Lancashire Police said: "The accident happened near to the Commercial Hotel in Whalley Road.
"Initially, we thought it involved a pedestrian and a car but when we arrived we realised the pedestrian was in fact the driver.
"She had fainted after getting out of the car and seeing what had happened.
"She was suffering minor head injuries."
The road was blocked for a short time.
