GOLFERS from across East Lancashire are being asked to pitch in and support a new fund-raising group.
Golfers for Rosemere - the new support group fund-raising for Rosemere Cancer Foundation - hopes to encourage golfers to contribute to cancer research in their local area.
The group will be officially launched at an inaugural sporting dinner at Shaw Hill Hotel Golf and Country Club, Chorley, on April 15.
Guest speaker will be former Manchester United boss Wilf McGuinness and former Houghton Weaver Norman Prince.
One of the founding members, Keith McIntosh, said: "We thought it would be a good idea to get Golfers for Rosemere going by holding a sporting dinner to officially launch the dinner."
