Radcliffe boro 4, Guiseley 1
AFTER three disappointing results against bottom of the table sides Boro rediscovered the quality touch against in-form Guiseley.
The opening goal came on the quarter hour mark when full back Rick Battersby controlled a deep cross and fired low into the danger area for the impressive Lee Potter to score from close range.
The visitors weathered further Boro pressure to have their best spell of the game just after the interval for Mark Stuart to level on 67 minutes. Within 60 seconds Boro were back in front with a magical first time volley to James Price's long ball from Jody Banim.
The win, which eased Boro back into the Unibond Division One promotion places, was sealed by man of the match Banim's second on 75 minutes and David Bean's header on 85.
Ramsbottom 5 Abbey Hey 1
STRIKER Russell Brierley ended what for him has been a comparative barren spell with the first four goals in a top drawer showing from the Rams. The Riverside Ground outfit's highly rated marksman took his season tally to 32 with the fifth goal coming from Carl Lomax.
