CANCER Research UK are appealing for the people of Darwen to donate unwanted clothes or bric-a-brac, in a bid to gain extra funds.
The charity hires a shop every year for one week staring on April 14 to sell second-hand clothes and other items.
Press officer Linda Chatburn is calling for anybody who has unwanted clothing or other bits around the house to donate them.
She said: "Instead of throwing away any unwanted clothing, people should give us a call and we will pick it up.
"People do not realise how much money we generate from this each year, so we really do need people to take an interest and donate what they can."
Anybody wishing to make a donation can do so by ringing the charity on 01254 763289 or 703731.
