CELEBRITY speakers will attend a keynote conference at County Hall, Preston, on Friday, April 12.
TV star and actor Anthony Booth, journalist and agony aunt Claire Rayner and Rodney Bickerstaff, the new president of the National Pensioners' Convention, will address the Right to Care conference for the North West. It has been organised jointly by the North West Pensioners Association, Unison and 20 other 'caring' bodies and hosted by the Lancashire County Council.
The conference will discuss issues on the future care of pensioners.
The main theme of the campaign is that the government must fully fund personal and nursing care that is free at the point of need for all who need long term care, wherever they live in the UK, as recommended in the Royal Commission Report, said the county council.
