NORTH End fans are being asked to do their bit for the good of football ahead of tonight's clash with Crewe.
Bucket-waving fundraisers will walk around the Deepdale stadium asking fans to dig deep to support extinction-threatened Bury FC.
Chief Executive Tony Scholes has already promised to donate a large sum and is confident the fans will respond in kind.
North End's former Bury player Chris Lucketti has already responded to the appeal along with the rest of the first team squad and said: "I don't think any football fan wants to see another club go out of business and I'm sure that's the case with Bury.
"And if our fans can help in any way then I'd encourage them to do so."
Chris added: "The lads here have all been great. They've chipped in and bought seats as part of the scheme they are doing and hopefully more people can get involved in it and raise the money they need."
