POLICE in Bury today made a fresh appeal for information following a hit-run crash in which an elderly pedestrian died.
The crash happened at Rochdale Road near to its junction with Castle Hill Road, at
8.40am on last Thursday.
William Armstead, aged 73, of Foxglove Drive, Bury, died in the accident and the driver has still not come forward.
The car involved in the accident has ben recovered and police are appealing for anyone who knows who was driving the car at the time of the accident or in the days leading
up to the accident to come forward.
The car is a black Toyota Corolla GTI registration number G180 OBA and it is believed to have been driven by a young Asian man.
