WELL, it's been a few weeks since I last wrote an article and I am pleased to report back that the Redskins have at last reached the obscurity of the middle of the table.
Two weeks ago we created a hatful of chances against Strategy of Barnoldswick and gained a creditable draw in a 2-2 thriller but with the clock ticking down in the final minute Jay "white boots" Taylor had the goal at his mercy to snatch the points, but the slightly rotund substitute goalkeeper made an excellent save to keep the honours even.
Then last week with many a key player at christenings, we recorded a resounding victory of 5-1 against Hour Glass with the ever sleepy Richard Holden trying to claim two goals, when he wasn't even involved with the first one.
Then, finally onto his last weekend we came up against Sidewalk 53 from Burnley.
We played against the huge slope in the first half and managed 0-0 at the interval.
Then we decided it was all hands to the pump when we had the slope and we camped out in the Sidewalk half for a large section of the second half.
Good old Roberts "full of water" Baxter opened the scoring looking better after last week's lay-off through the christening he had to go to and it was Robert who increased the lead soon after with a fluke, but we will take anything.
Sidewalk pulled one back just before the end but the Redskins run of numerous good results continues.
So Hogan and Ashworth look forward to the manager of the month trophy, but if you knew they had been scouting and were interested in Mark Corns signing for us you would know how much they know about football.
Long may the sequence continue.
