ENJOY an evening of pomp and ceremony at The Last Night of the Jubilee Proms at Blackpool's Grand Theatre this weekend.

The great British celebration for the Queen's Jubilee Year will feature the Locrian Ensemble with London's premier string soloists, who last played to great acclaim at the Grand in Mozart by Candlelight last June.

For this performance there will also be a special guest -- Covent Garden soprano Christine Teare.

Proms favourites Rule Britannia, Pomp and Circumstance, Hornpipe, Jerusalem and God Save the Queen will feature on the programme to rouse the audience.

And the combination of the Grand's wonderful baroque setting and the musicians dressed in lavish period costumes, complete with ornate candelabra, will ensure that it is a night to remember.

Song sheets and party streamers will be provided to add to the celebratory atmosphere and make sure everyone joins in.

The concert will take place on Sunday, March 24, at 7.30pm. Tickets, priced from £10, are available from the box office on (01253) 290190. Group discounts are also available by phoning (01253) 743232.
