ROSSENDALE's leisure facilities could soon be privately owned as negotiations with Glendale continue.
The company, which runs leisure complexes in Cumbria, has been picked by Rossendale Council to take over management of the leisure halls, swimming pools, ski slope and leisure staff.
At the corporate policy committee, chief executive Steven Hartley told members that the council's solicitors and Glendale were still trying to agree terms, but were well on with the deal.
He said: "Hopefully at the end of this week we will have a list of differences. We also have to sort out the pension rights and will bring it back to this committee as soon as we can."
