STAFF at an old folk's home are looking to donate a large box of goods left over from a Christmas collection.
Woodland Residential Home, in Holly Tree Close, Darwen, joined in an aid appeal organised by GMTV in December.
Staff asked the local Ashleigh Playgroup to help but ended up with so many items, they could not send them all to the appeal.
Since then they have been scratching their heads trying to decide where the items should go. The ten residents of the home have been asked who they would like to have the left-over aid, and they said those suffering in Afghanistan. But Julie Ingham, the home's assistant manager, said they would give the box to any charity which can show them it needs the goods.
She said: "We filled all the shoe boxes and had all this stuff left over. There are pens, pencils and children's toys. We don't know what to do with it all."
Any charities which may benefit should call Julie on 01254 775467.
