TWO goals from Carl Howarth and two from Micky Bartholomew may have kickstarted Nelson's season - at last.
Nelson have now lost just one in the last six games in North West Counties League Division Two in what has been a stop-start season for the side who were tipped for promotion at the beginning of the campaign.
Howarth, who only recently returned to Victoria Park from UniBond first division neighbours Rossendale United, scored two first half goals to put the Blues in charge.
His first was a close range header from a corner.
His second before half-time was created after good work from Lee Coleridge down the right.
His cross was fired home by Howarth.
In the second half Norton, who are in their first season in the North West Counties League, got one back before former Stand man Bartholomew, who came off the bench, got in on the act.
His first was a screamer from 25 yards after rounding two defenders.
His second was a header from close range.
And Blues manager John Bailey was delighted to see striker Mark Robinson come off the bench, after six months out after a knee op, and score the fifth.
"It was well-taken goal," he said. "He rounded the defender and shot from the edge of the area. It is a real boost to have him back.
"Hopefully this has kickstarted our season. That is only one defeat in six so you could say we are on a mini-run but some of those have been draws."
Nelson play Oldham Town at home on Saturday.
