THE EU is to be reformed "to make it more accountable to the people," according to BBC's Today programme.

Who are they trying to kid? The truth is that we, the people, have had more than enough of this preposterous pipe-dreamers' expensive but useless castle in the air and Prodi and his gang of Commissioners, and the feather-bedded MEPs have at long last realised it.

Consequently they are making a desperate attempt to shore up their rickety but lucrative gold mine before outraged public opinion brings the galleries crashing down about their ears and puts them on the dole where they properly belong.

Who needs the EU? Only the failures in the Commission, and the otherwise unemployable MEPs. No one else.
