AN electrical fault is being blamed for a blaze which destroyed the main bedroom of a Bury house.
The occupants of the property in Wash Lane had only been out for half an hour when neighbours saw smoke pouring from a first-floor window.
Neighbours raised the alarm at 3.30pm on Sunday (March 17).
Firefighters from Bury entered the house wearing breathing apparatus and used two hoses to tackle the flames. The bedroom was destroyed and the house was badly smoke damaged.
