PUPILS on an exchange visit from Dijon in France experienced the flavour of Bury thanks to pupils from the town's grammar school .
Twenty-one students aged from 16 to 18 from the Lycee Europeen Charles d' Gaulle school in Dijon stayed with pupils from Bury Grammar (Boys) last week.
This was the first visit to Bury for the pupils from France.
It was organised after Dr Jane Byrne, Bury Grammar School's French lecturer, spent some time working in Dijon.
"All the students had a great time. They visited Old Trafford and their twin town of York," she said.
With a return visit to Dijon coming up for Bury Grammar, she added: " We hope this exchange will be the first step in a lasting relationship."
