BUSINESSES in Whitefield and Unsworth are being urged to band together to tackle problems and discuss ways of improving their links with the community.
The newly-formed Whitefield and Unsworth Business Forum, which meets every month, wants to boost its membership and is encouraging anyone who has a business in the area to get in touch.
Recently, the group launched a campaign for CCTV cameras in a bid to fight back against crime and they have discussed ways of brightening up the area by introducing hanging baskets and Christmas lights.
Anyone who is interested in joining the group is invited to their next meeting on Monday, April 29, at Slattery's Patisserie in Bury New Road, Whitefield, from 6.15pm.
For further details about the group contact Tricia Willot on 253 5974 or acting chairman Daphne Abbott on 766 2442.
