P COUNCILLORS look set to back plans for a new skateboard arena at a former warehouse in Lancaster City Centre.
Members of the council's planning committee will meet on Monday to discuss an application by Mikeron Leisure Ltd to turn the former Kenneth Gardner building on Parliament Street into a facility for skateboarders.
Officers recommend that the scheme, which includes office and refreshment facilities, should be given the go ahead.
Permission will be renewable after two years in order to avoid prejudicing the development of the wider Kingsway site.
