DENIS Underwood has set his side a target of six wins to save Great Harwood from NWCL Division One relegation.
Harwood - who have won just four all season - are currently bottom of the table following a loss to fellow strugglers Maine Road on Monday night although Underwood was impressed with the performance of his side who didn't take their chances.
But, with a trip to another struggling side Glossop tomorrow, Harwood has laid down his battle plan.
"We need six wins out of our last 12 games. I set ourselves a target of two wins out of our last four matches and we have won one and lost two so we have to beat Glossop tomorrow. It is a must-win game for us.
"They are near the bottom and haven't picked up any points for quite a while so we go there knowing we need to get all three points."
A plus for Underwood has been the form of Steve Pickup who he has moved from defence to attack in the last two games and he has scored three goals.
He scored two in last Saturday's superb win over Newcastle and then one in the 2-1 loss to Maine Road. "He has done well and we will be keeping him up there," said Underwood.
Harwood have re-signed midfielder Warren Peake, who played last season but suffered injury and dropped into amateur football.
And, by the end of the month, he is hoping to have Martin Horsfield back in the fold. The striker played in the first game of the season but has been hindered by injury ever since.
"We hope he will be able to play by the end of the month. We will have around ten games left by then so he can still make a big impact," added Underwood.
