OUR campaign to collect old British and foreign currency is going really well and I want to thank everyone who has contributed. Schools are joining in as well as post offices, shops and medical centres. Indeed, it is so successful that we are continuing for the foreseeable future.
Contributors can be assured that we will use the donations to raise the maximum amount of money for the hospice. Providing expert care to those local people who have a life-threatening or terminal illness, their families and carers, costs a great deal so we try, throughout the year, to organise several different way in which people can lend support.
Thank-you to everyone who has passed on their old currency. Every penny, cent or pfennig counts.
MERVYN REEVES,
fundraising manager,
Bury Hospice.
