POLICE have released an artist's impression of a man who twice indecently assaulted an 18-year-old girl near Blackburn Cathedral.
PC Steve Finley, of Blackburn Police, said the Blackburn College Student, was walking down Dandy Walk around 2pm when she noticed a man behind her.
He approached her and indecently assaulted her twice.
PC Finley said: "The attack came out of the blue and was totally unexpected.
"The offender ran off leaving the girl severely shocked and upset."
The teenager, who lives in Burnley, has been interviewed by police on several occasions and police have followed other lines of inquiries.
Today they issued an artist's impression of the offender from the description given by the victim.
He was said to be in his late 20s to early 30s, 5ft 9ins tall with a pock-marked face.
PC Finley believes this was an isolated incident but stressed that police were very keen to catch him.
