HE may have come out to the theme from Rocky when Burnley took on Bradford City at Turf Moor on Wednesday night - but surely "Swing Low, Sweet Chariot" would have been more appropriate.
The rugby anthem will have been echoing around Twickenham this afternoon as England took on Wales in the Six Nations but it is unlikely that the thousands of fans will have seen a better tackle than the one at Turf Moor last Sunday.
It would have taken a lot to upstage the arrival of Paul Gascoigne but Bertie Bee certainly had a decent shot at it when he produced his spear tackle to floor the Turf Moor streaker.
He may have had 2-0 written as a cheeky message to Preston North End fans but it was certainly 11-0 to Bertie.
The tackle, in the 77th minute of the game, came as the streaker was sprinting back towards the Jimmy McIlroy stand.
Having shaken hands with Glen Little and mooned the North End fans, the home supporters were roaring him on before his progress was unceremoniously halted by a tackle Lawrence Dallaglio would have been proud of.
He then held down the intruder to allow the authorities to lead him away. Bertie then embarked on a well deserved lap of honour with most of the 18,000 strong crowd shedding tears of laughter.
Bertie has certainly been a busy bee this week as the media has been on his tail and he admitted: "I just saw him running towards me and I felt sorry for the poor steward who had been left floundering.
"Me and Bumble often play-fight back in the hive and I put that into practice there. Carrying pollen around all day makes you strong and he was certainly a featherweight in comparison, so I just flipped him over my shoulder and pinned him down!
"It was a good move and one that I have seen on the WWF before. I hope that the streaker wasn't hurt too badly but the game had to go on."
