THE waiting is almost over and tomorrow one lucky bride-to-be will be chosen as Lancashire's Bride of the Year at a grand wedding fayre at Accrington Town Hall.
Evening Telegraph readers have cast their votes and selected a final short-list of six who will now go before a panel of judges.
The six finalists are Davina Connelly of Langdale Close, Blackburn; Lyndsay Ann Fielding of Shadsworth Road, Blackburn; Suzanne Gaynor of Lowerhouse Fold, Burnley; Samatha Mawdsley of Hollins Road, Nelson; Amanda Jayne Taylor of Accrington Road, Whalley; and Laura Louise Wrigley of Jubilee Street, Read.
With some top prizes up for grabs including a wedding gown, travel vouchers, wedding car hire and an official wedding portrait, the winning bride will have her 'big day' made even more special.
The competition has been open to all brides-to-be planning on getting married during the year 2003.
As well as the Bride of the Year competition, the wedding fayre, organised by Hyndburn Council Leisure Services will include two catwalk fashion shows of all the latest wedding styles for both bride and groom and a range of wedding services.
The show runs from noon with fashion shows at 1pm and 3pm. The Bride of the Year final judging will take place at 4pm. Admission to the show is free.
