MY heart went out to Kerry Cornthwaite, the victim of bullying at her school (LET, March 18), for I, too, was bullied -- verbally which eventually progressed to physical bullying.
My adviceis: Tell someone! Don't lower yourself to the bullies' level by trying to fight back. Realise that most bullies have extremely low self esteem and get a kick out of seeing other people upset.
Whether you tell a teacher, mediator or parents, don't go it alone. It is 2002 and bullying should be a thing of the past.
