BURNLEY boss Stan Ternent was disappointed with his sides showing.
He said: "It is a disappointing result, we have played a lot better than that but they scored two fantastic goals. The second goal was top class.
"We didn't play very well by our standards, we started off not very well.
"I was quite pleased to be just 1-0 down at half-time and in he second half we had quite a few chances but it just didn't go in for us.
"Mooro (Ian Moore) got a bit of a strain today and Ian Cox injured his thigh.
"But Jonno (David Johnson) looked lively, Kevin Ball did well and we had a few good performances."
Blades boss Neil Warnock said: "I am delighted because I thought we played some excellent football. I couldn't believe we were only 1-0 up at half-time.
"We had some great chances, not half chances. I said at half-time, whilst we couldn't play much better, I felt excited. The enthusiasm of the young players rubbed off on the senior lads.
"These are exciting times and you can see how we have come together.
"We could have had eight or nine today but they had a period when they could have had three or four. It was end to end stuff and puts bums on seats."
Two goal hero Phil Jagielka said: "They were two quite special goals and I felt I owed the lads because I have missed a few.
"For the first Pesh helped me out because he got in front of the keeper. I will remember this game for the rest of my life.
"I think we have proved in our last three games that we have under achieved this season.
"Against West Brom what happened spoiled the game because even with ten men we had looked good.
"Then we have beaten Millwall and Burnley and all three are in the play-off positions so that shows we have got a decent side."
