CENTENARIAN Clara O'Brien is proof that a little of what you fancy does you good.
For Clara, of Newhaven Home for the Elderly, Ashleigh Street, Darwen, loves whiskey and black puddings and still smokes five cigarettes a day.
She lived alone up until 18 months ago when she checked into Newhaven.
Her nephew, Alan Topham, 64, of Turton, said: "She has smoked for nearly a century. She likes whiskey too and black puddings. Everything with fat in that is bad for you."
Clara spent most of her life in Bromley Cross, near Bolton. She was married to Jimmy, who died about 40 years ago.
Their three children all died young from whooping cough.
