A FIVE-year-old girl has bee seriously injured in a hit and run incident.
The girl, Afifaa Ugrada, was hit by a blue Rover Montego saloon car as she walked along Fishwick Parade near the junction with Surrey Street, Preston, at around 2.25pm, on Saturday, March 23.
According to a witness the vehicle stopped and three men climbed out before getting back into their vehicle and driving away along Fishwick Parade.
Afifaa received serious head and shoulder injuries and was taken to Royal Preston Hospital for treatment.
She underwent surgery on Sunday afternoon.
Two of the men were white and one was Afro-Caribbean. All three were in their early to mid twenties.
The car's registration number is believed to be L512 PUA.
Police are appealing for witnesses and anybody with information should call Preston police on 203203 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
