PHIL and Kay Miller are toasting victory after their pub was voted a top spot for a tipple.
The Queens Hotel in Eastgate, Accrington, has been voted best promotions and entertainment pub of the year in the Mitchell's of Lancaster brewery league.
Phil and Kay have been in the business only 12 months.
Phil said: "It is absolutely fantastic and such a brilliant achievement. We are just so pleased to have a reward for all the long hours and hard work that has been put in to turn the pub around in such a short time."
The pub was selected above 80 contenders for the accolade, presented at a ceremony in Garstang. Pauline Lord, Mitchell's business development manager, said: "Phil and Kay have introduced a strong community feel with regular promotions. Phil also helps run the Accrington Clarets supporters club so they have big community links."
Phil said: "It really is thanks to the locals that we have been put back on the map."
The couple put their success down to always being around when people need them and making sure all the customers are happy.
