BLACKBURN'S Mick Davies is returning to his home stage as the latest stand-up at the Lock n Load comedy club.

After months of working the Manchester comedy circuit Mick will be performing alongside headline artist Stan Vernon on April 4 at the Wharf Pub, Eanam Wharf.

Mick is known for organising Blackburn's Rubber Chicken Comedy Club at Blakey's bar and the Humour Section at Darwen Library Theatre.

He said: "I am really looking forward to this Blackburn gig as it has been a while since I played in front of a Blackburn audience."

Resident comedian Martin Cassidy is convinced the club is on an unstoppable roll.

"We have created a monster! We set out to put comedy on East Lancashire's doorstep and that's exactly what we have done.

"The shows are attracting audiences from across the region for their monthly dose of hilarity and riot."

Headliner Stan is described by Martin as " a force to be reckoned with. He is consistently hilarious and will make comedy mincemeat out of an unruly crowd".

Tickets are priced £3 on the door. For more information contact the club on 0771 924 2795 or email www.locknloadcomedyclub.com
