A PUBLIC inquiry into a planning application for a housing development in Weir will now be heard on June 11 from 10am.
The inquiry has been called by the planning inspectorate from the Department of the Environment after Rossendale Council refused an oputline planning application by Wordsworth Corporation of Cheshire.
The company wants to build 42 houses on the former Irwell Springs site off Heald Lane.
The inquiry will be held in the council chamber at the Town Hall in Rawtenstall and may last for five days.
Statements, proofs of evidence, summaries and associated documents will be available for public inspection from May 13 during normal office hours at the Neighbourhood Office or at Stubbylee Hall, both Bacup.
