A SUSPECT package sent to civil service buildings in south Blackpool led to rush-hour road closures.
The package was sent to the government buildings on Brunel Way, Marton triggering a security alert just after 8.30am on Tuesday, March 26.
It is understood many of the government's information technology specialists are based at the Peel Park site.
A Blackpool Police spokesman said: "At 8.36am we got a call from security at the government buildings on Brunel Way saying they had received a suspect package."
Specially trained officers attended and the package was found "not to be suspicious" she said.
During the alert Yeadon Way, Brunel Way and part of the M55 near junction four were closed, but reopened shortly before 10am.
