A SWIMMING pool has won a Government award for excellence.
Daisyfield Pools in Blackburn has received the Charter Mark for excellence, which recognises the 'high quality' of service provided by staff.
The mark is awarded to public sector organisations that can demonstrate all-round efficiency, value for money and customer satisfaction and Daisyfield Pools scored highly in all areas.
Granting the award, the Government's feedback report said: "The independent judging panel is satisfied that you provide an exceptionally high quality of service to your users. This is not an award that is easily won, and this is a tribute to your organisation."
Coun Kate Hollern, Executive Member for Leisure and Culture said: "This is an excellent achievement for all staff at the pools
